PM David Cameron defiant on tax credit cuts

David Cameron has defended plans to cut tax credits for working families, arguing that the income of the UK's lowest earners would eventually rise thanks to the National Living Wage and higher tax thresholds.
Speaking on The Andrew Marr Show Mr Cameron accepted that people would be hit by the cuts, but said that it was right to move to "an economy where you have higher pay, lower tax and lower welfare"
