Empty contents of packet into a bowl, cover with skimmed/semi-skimmed milk, stir and microwave on high for 1 minute. If you like your porridge to have a ‘bite’ to it, it should be ready now. If you like a smoother consistency, stir again and microwave on high for a further 30 seconds.
Heating instructions rely upon the strength of your microwave, so you may need to cook for up to 3 minutes depending on how smooth you like your porridge! You can also cook over a low heat on the hob for the same length of time, making sure to keep stirring so it doesn’t stick and burn.
