Let us try this again... For some reason a little over a minute only got uploaded. Why?

I dunno...

Anyway, this is Fi and I putzing around bareback. She's such a trooper. This is probably nearly 3 weeks of no riding, perhaps only one day of very light riding... But life has been a little crazy and family comes first.

This past Friday my husband and I went out to ride to find Fi unwilling to move, at all. Seeing her right forearm swollen, the vet was the immediate next option. I was terrified I was going to lose another horse that meant the world to me. It took me what felt like forever to find another horse like the mare I lost and I couldn't even bear the thought of losing Fiona. Only because you expect the worse... hope for the best.

Long story short she had radial nerve paralysis. She hyper-extended her leg (probably getting up from a roll) and thus couldn't move her leg forward without assistance. The vet call was after hours and as she prepared to leave she told us we'd done the right thing that her forearm had become larger in the short span of time they were there... So they were confident it was just a recent injury.

The next day Fiona was 95% better, she walked willingly out of her stall (she hates 'em anyway) and hand grazed for 15 minutes until she got a bit stiff and we took her back.

The following day she was darn near 100%. She took a MASSIVE step out of her stall with the "bad leg" and had no problem grazing for darn near 30 minutes.

Such a champ :)

The bay I'm riding at the end is Harley.

Videos are mine, audio isn't.
