U.S. stock futures are trading lower Thursday, after a decline in the dollar against major currencies earlier in the week.

Crude for February delivery fell from a 26-month high, declining by $0.37 to close at $91.12 per barrel.

In corporate news, Carlyle Group LP sold a part of its stake in China Pacific Insurance Group Co. for an estimated $860 million. The sale came as a result of placing shares, according to sources close to the matter.

Skype SA has released an iPhone app update, allowing users to make and receive video calls for free. Users will now be able to use Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as AT&T Inc.'s (NYSE:T) 3G network to place and receive calls -- a plus over iPhone FaceTime video conferencing, which only operates on Wi-Fi. The update will be released through Apple Inc.'s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iTunes Store later today for iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS models. iPod Touch owners will also be able to place video calls over Wi-Fi only, and iPad owners can receive calls through the service as well.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) futures are trading 4.38 points below fair value, the S&P500 (INX) futures are trading 1.28 points below fair value, and the Nasdaq Composite (IXIC) futures are trading 3.39 points below fair value.
