The City of Tampa has launched its first, free mobile app for Android and iOS based smart phones and tablets (iPhones, iPads, etc.).

Citizens can find the app in the iTunes store or Google Play store under the name "City of Tampa."

"Technology plays a critical role in the economic future of our City. That's why I am committed to modernizing our infrastructure, bringing free Wi-Fi to our urban parks, and making the City more user friendly through apps like this," said Mayor Bob Buckhorn. "The app puts city services and City Hall at the fingertips of residents."
Using the smart phone or tablet's GPS and camera features, it's now easier than ever to report potholes, request snipe signs be removed from a neighborhood, or even request the installation of a new street light.

Residents can also stay in the know with all the goings-on at City Hall. Official press releases, events, employment opportunities as well as contact information for each department within the City of Tampa are all available on the app. Residents can also follow Mayor Buckhorn and the City of Tampa along on social media.

The app was developed in-house by City of Tampa staff, at no additional cost to taxpayers.
