Black Symphony originally formed in Calgary Canada in 90s with founder Rick Plester and Vocalist Rhett Forrester (RIP) from the band Riot. After recording a demo and Rhetts dismissal from the band 6 months later Rhett was murdered in Atlanta.

Rick went back to playing pro hockey in 1994 Two years later in Los Angeles California where Rick was residing he reformed the band which would be the foundation for their debut release Featuring Plester, Jeff Martin (Badlands, Racer X, UFO) drums, Rev Jones (Fuel MSG) Bass, Mike Pierce lead vocals & Robert Vasicek on keys. In 1998 first Black Symphony record came out through independent selling at the time over 50 000.

The band was voted worlds best unsigned band by Rock Hard Magazine and later best new artist 1999.The band took to the road doing countless festivals and major tours world wide along side of groups like Rammstein, Sevendust, Dio, Pantera, and many others. Soon Black Symphony was being regarded one of the worlds best live rock bands and was able to headline in many territories. Black Symphony has now reformed again in 2007 and will release all the back catalog plus 2 new records.
