My son, Tiarnan has nightmares at times. So, he created a prayer to Mani. This is based on his own UPG on the god, Mani. As we know little about this enigmatic god who carries the moon through the sky, I thought this might be interesting for people in regards to the question: When does UPG (Unsubstanciated Personal Gnosis) become modern lore? To Tiarnan, who has never known anything except Asatru, the elements of his prayer are simple and plainly obvious to him. For myself, I cannot find anything to contradict his thoughts. The kid stayed pretty firmly in the right ballpark with his assumptions. He also thinks that Bil and Hjuki use the bucket to pour out good dreams and the pole to reach down and "wack away" the bad dreams as they fly by carrying the moon.
