GFS MasterClass connects top film directors with young storytellers from around the world through a unique Google+ Hangout series. Each monthly session highlights an aspect of Ghetto Film School's award-winning curriculum, with participants completing creative assignments before each class, then producing original shorts after the class concludes. The best work will screen at special program during the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

Creative Assignment: "Location as a Character"
This assignment will be to write a 2-minute short film with one location in which your entire story can take place. We want you to think of that specific location as an extra character in the story, and that the location is embedded into what the general story concept is.
