Ben Cameron is one of the nation's leading arts advocates and is currently serving as the program director for the arts at the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. In his thought-provoking speech, Cameron makes an impassioned case for the value, impact and necessity of the arts in building a better, smarter, more tolerant and civil society. Armed with facts and figures, Cameron urges his audience to embrace the digital age and to transition from "arts supporters" to "arts advocates" -- suggesting these shifts are essential in a time of decreasing traditional arts attendance but increasing arts participation.

Cameron delivered his speech to a packed ballroom of more than 500 individuals consisting of representatives from nonprofits arts organizations, business leaders, government officials and foundation staff from throughout the 23-county metro Atlanta region.
