- Assume "soft" knees. Legs should not be locked, but bent ever so slightly.
- Push your hips back, don't try to reach for the floor.
- Keep the DBs as close to the body as possible. Essentially the DBs should "slide" down the front of the thighs.
- Only go to just below knee level (or mid-shin for those who have more flexibility).
- Be sure to squeeze glutes HARD at the top.
- Keep chin tucked.
