Check out this amazing creation we saw at the 65th Anniversary of Hot Rod Magazine in Pomona in March 2013. It was built by Eckert's Rod & Custom and has been making the rounds at every major car show and we were lucky enough to get some video and bring it to you. It's originally a 1969 Mach 1 Mustang . the idea was to combine the Mustang with a 2006 GT 40 super car, thus incorporating the modern ford technology into the body of the '69 Mach 1 - and incorporate some amazing styling. It has a 5.4 Liter dual overhead cam GT super car motor upgraded with a Wipple 4 liter super charger and drive by wire throttle. The motor was then converted to a flex fuel system.
The base horsepower can be dialed in from 600 to 850 HP! Plus it has auto and manual traction control. It's also now a mid-engine car. Most of the body panels were formed by hand.
