When 2020 started, we all had different plans in mind that had nothing to do with a virus running rampant across the globe and isolating ourselves in our homes. After many businesses have transitioned into becoming remote workforces in the last few weeks, many of us are trying to adapt to our new normal and figure out how to do our jobs online.

On this Quick Connect from The Talk Show, Marketopia CMO Andra Hedden sits down to virtually chat with Datto’s Senior Vice President of Business Development, Rob Rae, about sales and business development during the COVID-19 pandemic – specifically, selling virtually.

Even before the spread of COVID-19, a lot of MSPs and vendors struggled with feeling bad about having to charge their clients after providing their amazing services. But feeling apologetic gets in the way of selling your services for what they’re worth.

Rob adds that being there for our clients matters now more than ever so that when this is over, everybody will be aware of what the companies in this channel did in order to keep other businesses up and running. He suggests helping each other out as a community versus relying on promotions to build relationships with prospects and current clients.
