A few weeks ago Samsung sent us the Galaxy Nexus to review. We'll be reviewing Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Verizon's 4G LTE network, and the Galaxy Nexus over the next few weeks but before that happens we're sharing our first impressions with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

The Galaxy Nexus is Google's third Nexus phone made by Samsung just like the Nexus S from 2010. One of the more impressive parts of the Galaxy Nexus is the large 4.65-inch display which is an HD Super AMOLED display at a 720p resolution. The display also has curved class which improves the ergonomics of the smartphone. You'd think that a smartphone with a 4.65-inch display would make the smartphone really large, but that's not the case. Since the Galaxy Nexus has everything on the display including the buttons there is no need for any sort of extended bezel for buttons. Meaning the 4.65-inch display fits onto a relatively small smartphone. Personally using buttons that are on the screen doesn't feel any different from using capacitive buttons of of the screen.
