@nourbutwatmi I agree.

@miturbinesdurti I understand the pros and cons of high tariffs and there is no doubt that we need to do something about China's imports but 80% of the new jobs created in the last ten years were created by the small job sector. This sector has nothing to do with China, they're 100% American based companies. Obama's policies towards them (not to mention business in general) are so oppressive that we aren't going to see these jobs returning until we vote him and the rest of these fools out.

@nourbutwatmi Tariffs will get our manufacturing base out of China. We could even create incentives for some of the manufacturing base to go to Mexico and entice the illegal aliens to go home. Americans will never completely understand the Democrat's non-union sentiment while we have a liberally biased main stream media. There will never be investment dollars for manufacturing in America while it can be done in China for a fraction of the price.

@miturbinesdurti I understand your concerns but tariffs are very slippery slope. We can accomplish our goals without going that route. The liberals are anti non-union shop. Boeing is just one example of many where they attempt to intiminate business, and too many times they win. Americans need to understand this and vote these fools out and get some business friendly moderates in office. If they did the investment $ would flow and thus creat the much needed jobs we lost because of these clowns.

@nourbutwatmi It is about tariffs and trade deficits. If we had high tariffs for all imported goods, then that would jack the prices on everything from China. There would be an immediate demand for cheap goods made in America. The non-union manufacturers would get more business than the union manufacturers based on price alone. The union manufacturers would either go out of business or go non-union, if they could afford to wait out the lengthy and expensive process of cutting ties with the union

@WrightvWrong Hi, point taken. It's a catch 22, I guess. I would be concerned with government meddling even more in our "free" (?) enterprise system. Cheers!
nourbutwatmi
@WrightvWrong It's not about tariffs, it's about what americans will buy and that's quality products which are affordable. Unions drive the costs of products up for no good reason. Unions complain about unfair competition from foreign goods and non union shops. We don't need unions or tariffs we need a labor friendly environment to promote jobs in this county that will pay a fair day's wage for a fair day's labor. Of course the unions don't like that concept because it leaves no place for them.

If I were the Pres. all manufactured products sold in America must be 'made in America' by our people, by law. NO job exportation. @nourbutwatmi
Dan Wright
I'm not so much pro Union as I am pro employee empowerment. Right now Unions empower workers more than our government does. With proper government oversight I don't believe unions are nessesary. ~ @captdot

@glh104753 ~ We need high import tariffs and a government that supports Made In AMERICA so the well doesn't run dry.
