The Monkees"The girl that I knew Somewhere" cover by Baxter/Howes written by Mike Nesmith. I have always wanted to cover the music of the Monkees so one evening I posted an ad on Craigslist that read "Anybody interested in a Monkees tribute band???? The following day I received a reply that read "If you need a guitarist I'm your guy. That guy was Mr. Kenny Howes (Google search the guy!!!) After rehearsing a set of about 10 Monkees tunes we went into the studio and recorded 4 of them.Kenny played all the guitars Keyboards and sang the harmonies on all the tracks and my good friend Buzz Griffith played drums and percussion. Buzz and I were in a heavy metal band together 25 years ago and I have always considered him to be one of the best drummers in Dallas. This song was recorded using Cubase 5 home studio software
