March 16, 2011 -- Today, Rep. Jim McDermott went to the floor and discussed the Republican scheduling gimmicks about repealing a foreclosure prevention program, known as the Home Affordability Modification Program (HAMP). Late last night, the Republicans announced that they would delay consideration of their repeal bill until after the upcoming 10-day recess - obviously to prevent their members from having to go back to their districts and explain why they did away with a program that has helped half-a-million families stay in their homes.
