PLEASE SIGN THE PETITIONS BELOW!! They ask that VAWA be made gender neutral and ask that the violation of constitutional rights and civil rights be stopped. It also advocates Saveservices.org and their PVRA (partner violence reduction act) as a viable alternative to VAWA as it addresses ALL victims of domestic violence and also addresses victims of false accusations. PLEASE CALL SENATE COMMITTEE MEMBERS STARTING 1/23 THRU ? to tell them not to authorize this bill. Keep calling as the date has been extended. I will take down the numbers when we can stop calling. Tell them VAWA needs to be changed to address severe deficiencies relating to discrimination against male victims and those falsely accused and needs to remove the erosion of constitutional rights, namely the 5th and 14th amendments. ACTION ALERT!!! The Senate Judiciary Committee is expected to vote on the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) this coming Thursday at 10am. As you know, we have found many flaws in this bill, which is why we created the Partner Violence Reduction Act (PVRA).
The Partner Violence Reduction Act:
Gives priority to real victims.
Reduces false allegations.
Removes provisions that violate the Constitution.
Protects families.
Provides legal assistance for alleged victim and alleged offender.
Requires third-party accreditation.
Curbs immigration fraud.
Makes the law gender-inclusive.
