Still photos that day:
Penguins at work and play. Well, their work is playing in front of the public. Here they are with Senior Aquatic Biologist, Pamela Schaller, who obviously enjoys her job.

The new California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, opened in September 2008 and is described as
"the only place on the planet with an aquarium, a planetarium, a natural history museum, and a 4-story rainforest all under one roof" ... And what a Planetarium! Instead of sitting and checking out a simulated sky, you're practically in a space station lifted from the earth (with a 180 degree view of it as you take off) to galaxies unknown. Incredible production. Don't miss it. Here's a a photo showing the seating and one moment from the presentation:
