You could make these even more rainbow-y by using multicoloured cake crumbs. :)

Candy melts or candy melting wafers are a candy confection in a disc form that is easily melted and re-melted. They are shiny when molded and do not need to be tempered like chocolate.
Sometimes the candy melts are very thick when melted, you can add some melted vegetable shortening or some low flavour oil to thin it out.
The chocolate ones have some cocoa in them and taste like chocolate. The other colours generally taste like white chocolate (regardless of colour) but there are some flavoured ones out there (cotton candy, buttersctoch etc.)
They can be purchased online (ebay, wilton.com, amazon) or in craft stores and sometimes Walmart. Here in Ontario they are also available at the Bulk Barn (bulk food store that sells a lot of candy making supplies).
I have been told they are available at Hobby Craft stores in the UK and in certain craft stores in Australia.
Cost varies, but they cost about $6 a pound here.
If you have leftover melted candy melts, spread them out on waxed paper, let them harden, break them up and put them into a container to be used again (as long as the candy melts are not contaminated by crumbs).

You can dye white chocolate or white candy melts with oil based food colour (available in the same places as the candy melts) or with paste food colour.
Liquid food colour will make the candy melts to clump or seize up. I have been told that adding vegetable oil will make them smooth again and others have told me this does not work. You may have to experiment to see what works.
