International Programs and Open Studio
Founded in 1969, the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice is a vibrant center for Printmaking and Book-Arts in the heart of one of the most beautiful art capitals in the world. Each month Italian and international artists come together to work in the Scuola's independent Studio Internazionale di Grafica in 1 to 8 week Residencies in well equipped studios, to exchange inspirations, ideas, experiences and techniques, and to explore and expand their individual, creative work.

A Residency at the Studio Internazionale di Grafica provides the unique opportunity to experience Venice, not as a tourist, but as an independent, working artist in the Studio's international creative community, drawing inspiration from both the historic masterpieces and the contemporary arts scene which Venice offers, from one's fellow artists and the knowledgeable staff at the Studio, as well as from the simple joy of daily life in the magic that is Venice.

The Scuola is affiliated with institutions such as Vermont Studio Center, Boston University, Indiana University, as well as Italian Academies of Fine Arts and Museums. Among the international artists who have taught and worked at the Scuola are Henry Goetz, Stanley Hayter, John Ross, Michael Mazur, Clare Romano and Jon Gregg, founder of the Vermont Studio Center. Please visit our website at http://www.scuolagrafica.it/ for a complete list.
