This video shows one way to remove the cloth from the SeaVisions CADS cloth 600. The roll length is 100 Yards long. Since the filter material has a high absorption capacity both sides of the cloth act as a filter. This roll offers 725 sf. of surface material. How many sf does your filter sock have?

The CADS filter is a unique way of filtering your aquarium water through a continuous clean filter material. Thus eliminating the detritus that would normally be caught on a regular filter from dissolving or breaking down to microscopic size and subsequently producing poor water quality. As the micron paper gets dirty or clogged the water level in the CADS will begin to rise. Once it rises to the float switch the drive motor will activate for maybe no more then a split second which will advance the cloth roll to a clean section of cloth. This will immediately drop the water level in the CADS and stop the roll from advancing further. The process will continue until the roll is used up. This could take months depending on the bio-load of your aquarium an the flow rate through the CADS. The CADS filtration is an automatic way of mechanical filtering that does not cause a pressure drop in your system and gets the detritus out of the stream of aquarium water flow
