this video is the first part of my 4 months holiday away from YouTube. These are just some short clips I put together for you all to see what my trip was like. I was disappointed to see my favorite hotel / casino modernized. I have been to Las Vegas many times and stayed at the Excalibur 3 times. It was originally built by Circus Circus Enterprises in 1990 and was the largest hotel in the world with over 4,000 rooms and covering over 70 acres. As of 2009 it was the fifth-largest hotel (by total number of rooms) in Las Vegas, and the seventh-largest hotel worldwide.
It was a fantasy hotel that resembled a castle but was purchased in 2005 by MGM Resorts International
the medieval themed statues and scenery have been removed as part of a four-year renovation project. All that is left to be seen are the 2 turret like structures facing the street in this video.
MGM Grand
Four, 30-story towers, each rising 280 feet high provide a variety of up-scale accommodations, five swimming pools, three whirlpools and a river are surrounded by lush foliage, fountains and waterfalls.

.Lake Mead is the 16th largest man-made lake in the world and the largest man-made lake in the Western Hemisphere. It was created by the Hoover Dam along the Colorado River. It occupies about 1.5 million acres -- twice as much as Rhode Island -- and about 820 miles of shoreline.
Hoover Dam
located about 25 mi (40 km) southeast of Las Vegas, Nevada. It is a major tourist attraction; nearly a million people tour the dam each year.Hoover Dam stands 726 feet tall from bedrock to the roadway atop it. At the top, it's 45 feet thick, but it widens the farther down you go, until at the base it's a whopping 660 feet thick. © 2011 - Dianne Campbell. All rights reserved
