In late 2011 Autodesk purchased the T-Splines free-form modeling technology from T-Splines, Inc. to help achieve even closer integration between industrial design and engineering workflows.
In this webinar, former T-Splines CEO (and current Autodesk employee) Matt Sederberg and T-Splines user Sky Greenawalt introduce T-Splines as a tool for designers and engineers who previously relied on NURBS for free-form modeling. This webinar is essentially "T-Splines 101", teaching attendees fundamental concepts necessary to take advantage of the possibility to create better free-form models, faster, with T-Splines.
We'll focus on the two most important concepts for successfully modeling with T-Splines: 1, what control points are and how they define the T-Spline surface, and 2, what topology is and why it matters.
At the end of the webinar we'll offer a first preview of T-Splines technology running on an Autodesk platform.
