BOSTON -- After a 107-94 victory against the New Jersey Nets that stretched the Celtics win streak to three games, Mickael Pietrus looked into each camera surrounding his locker and guaranteed an NBA championship.

"I think the chemistry has been building since we played in Oklahoma City, even though we lost," said Pietrus, who totaled 11 points and five rebounds starting in place of the injured Ray Allen. "We fought a lot. I think the chemistry has started coming back, and we don't want to let that go. Hopefully we're going to keep it for the postseason and the playoffs -- and win a championship. I know that you guys say we're older and all that stuff. We're going to win the championship, Ok?"

Of course, the Celtics (18-17) are ranked just seventh in the Eastern Conference, half a game up on the New York Knicks and 2.5 games behind the Atlanta Hawks. If the standings remain the same, the Celtics would face a first-round matchup against the Chicago Bulls.
