Seven Hungarian Dances, Op. 23 (1806)
A work for solo piano by Austrian composer Johann Nepomuk Hummel (1778-1837), composed 64 years before the famous set of Hungarian Dances by Johannes Brahms was completed. In 1804, Hummel took up the illustrious position of Kappellmeister at the Austro-Hungarian court for the Esterházy prince, succeeding Joseph Haydn in that position.
