This is the talk I gave at the 2011 Ancestral Health Symposium at UCLA. It's about an important but little-known contributor to obesity: food reward. If we want to be lean, it's important to understand what kind of food the human body expects-- not just in terms of nutrient content, but also flavor and presentation. In this talk, I give an overview of some of the research behind this concept, as well as my own interpretation, with an evolutionary flavor.
