When I watched this movie as a kid, I loved this part mostly for the music. Watching it now, I can see a dark statement about the over-dependence on technology, made ironic due to today's everyday use by idiots who uses cell phones, IPods, computers and...uh... Well anyway, I can also see an slight nod towards Orwell's 'Big Brother' state which, sadly, America is slowly becoming like. Maybe the writer was sneaking in a message...
I haven't seen this in years. i was a kid when i saw this in New York City Manhattan. They showed it on a pay movie channel called, Showtime must have been in their animation segment area. I forgot the name, and what it was about. All I could remember was the Rise Robots Rise song. It was engraved in my head. I searched on youtube before but didn't find it. when I searched 4 it, all i can put in the field is, Rise Robots RIse. now i found it, and can now die happy. thx 4 posting it.
