In this video I join a game in progress where most of the marines playing are apparently new at the game. Welcome you guys, here's hoping you're enjoying the game :)

They are up against a team with a few veteran playtesters and players. However I refuse to take command, obviously my resnode at the gap was more important! This is also a proof of concept, that I can now finally record gameplay, while playing at an acceptable FPS!

Natural Selection 2 is currently in beta, you can pre-order the game for $34,95, from Unknown Worlds Entertainment's website (http://www.naturalselection2.com/buy)

NS2 is a FPS+RTS hybrid, consisting of two very different teams. You can play as the TSA Marines, who are heavily dependent on technology and ranged combat. And you can play as the Kharaa, a breed of highly evolved aliens who are formidable in melee and extraordinary agile.

Both teams have a commander, which provides the team with research, defensive and offensive structures. As well as supporting them on the battlefield. The FPS perspective and RTS perspective of both teams are quite different from each other.

The game is being built from the ground up on their proprietary game engine called Spark Engine. The engine features Dynamic lighting and maps do no require hours of compiling, the editor is completely real time. Saving a lot of time on development and testing. Perfect for smaller indie teams that don't have the resources for large teams

Natural Selection 2 has a blog on which most important things surrounding NS2 are posted (http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2), there is also a real time development tracker on the site (http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/prog...)
