The New York Arm Wrestling Association presented the 30th Annual 'Bronxboro' Arm Wrestling Championships at the 42nd Annual Bronx Week Food and Arts festival, which was sponsored by the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corp. and The Bronx Tourism Council and hosted by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. The Overall MVP awards were sponsored by Ironmind.com and Captains of Crush Grippers. The Rainy day did not stop some 77 contestants and some 2,000 festival spectators, die-hard fans and family and friends from coming to the event as they cheered with umbrellas opened for both the favorites and underdogs in an awesome display of strength, endurance and explosive raw energy.

A tough, versatile pro, veteran arm wrestler,154 pound Chris Nitolli from New Jersey, had the audience in a screaming, cheering-frenzy as he beat all right hand winners to take the Bronx Strongest Arm Right hand MVP award . The super-heavyweight open left-hand champion Chris Tsintavis from Bayside, Queens took first place in his weight class and then beat all the winners of the day's competition in their respective weight classes to win the left hand overall MVP award. In the female open class it was Princess Israel from Brooklyn who was honored as the right and left hand overall champion by beating all comers to capture the Women's Bronx Strongest Arm Award. Bronx won the team Championship.
