The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public's assistance in identifying a person of interest in an armed carjacking of a taxicab on Friday, January 4, 2013 at approximately 6:30 AM in the 500 block of Kenyon Street, NW. The subject entered the cab in the 800 block of H Street, NE, rode to the location listed, and assaulted the driver before fleeing in the vehicle. The subject was captured by an ATM surveillance camera prior to the offense.

The subject is described as a black male with medium complexion in his mid-50s. He was wearing all dark clothing.
