This is video of a pair of Cartopper backhoe's unloading ties from a BNSF work train at Osage City. KS i took back in 2005. I've seen them in use before but this was the first time i've seen them unloading from a train that was steadily moving (i'm sure it happens all the time), and the first time i was able to document it. The operators here definitely wern't newcomers considering how smooth the unloading was. The train was made up of old BN and Santa Fe hoppers and coal gondolas. The only problem is the video got cut short because i ran out of tape.
