Synchronized group & partner cutting exercises help to develop an eye for distance, timing and co-ordination needed to synchronize when cutting with a partner.

At 79, Hans Fricke, a former pupil of the late sword-master Nakamura Taizaburo still practices, teaches and demonstrates Toyama- and Nakamura Ryu Battodo at the Sei Do Kan dojo in Sydney Australia (established by Nakamura Taizaburo sensei in 2001).

As far as can be ascertained Hans Fricke is the only non Japanese to hold a kyoshi 8th dan in Nakamura Ryu Battodo Happo giri To-ho outside Japan.
