The late Tony Osborne (left) was a leading UK music identity, who worked with greats like Shirley Bassey, Eartha Kitt, Judy Garland and more. His reputation as a musician, arranger and band leader was impressive. Son 'Gary' (right) continues in his dad's footsteps and has written songs including 'Blue Eyes' with Elton John and was a major contributor to Jeff Wayne's incredible 'War Of The World's' album. 'Sunspot' released 1967 in Australia as a single on the Derham label was also featured on the Derham album 'Brass In The Night'. This very catchy instrumental will be well known to those old enough to remember 'Weekend Magazine', after the 7pm News, Sunday nights around Australia on ABC TV, Australia. It was used for many years as the programme's theme. In his latter life Tony resided permanently in Australia and passed away on March 1st 2009 in Sydney, aged 87. I do not claim copyright to this music and present it purely in the spirit of music education, appreciation and respect for the legacy of a very nice gentleman and his music output.
