Microsoft User Experience Virtualization (UE-V) 2.0 captures and centralizes application settings and Windows operating system settings for the user. These settings are then applied to the different computers that are accessed by users. The different computers include desktop computers, laptop computers, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) sessions.
UE-V offers settings synchronization for common Microsoft desktop applications, Windows desktop settings, and Windows 8 apps. It also delivers user settings at any time to wherever users work throughout the enterprise. UE-V enables administrators to specify which Windows desktop application settings and Windows desktop settings are synchronized between users' computers. UE-V helps administrators to create custom settings location templates for third-party or line-of-business applications that are used in the enterprise. UE-V 2 also enables administrators to specify which Windows 8 apps to synchronize.

In this presentation we will look at how UE-V can help with User Experience Virtualization in a heterogeneous environment and how to set up the UE-V test infrastructure and demonstrate UE-V in practice by using Installed and App-V virtual apps across desktop and VDI environment.
