Tiger bite Anatomy

By studying a series of documented tiger attacks and recreating the choreography of the recent Bengal tiger attack on magician Roy Horn, a team of experts -- including trainers, tiger behavioral scientists and even special effects gurus -- set out to demonstrate step-by-step what happens when one of the world\'s most powerful predators develops a taste for human flesh.

In the team\'s \"bite lab\" in New Zealand, biologist Dave Salmone -- himself a survivor of a tiger mauling -- demonstrates the sheer power of a Bengal tiger\'s jaws and the piercing ability of their four-inch claws. Across the globe in California, trainer Randy Miller -- another survivor -- works with a live tiger to recreate Roy Horn\'s accident, demonstrating the visual cues that indicate a forthcoming attack. Watch as the team uses its expertise to break down a typical attack and reveal the science behind one of nature\'s most horrific moments.
