February 23, 2012 Thinking back to the winter of 2010/2011 the snow pack on Mount Mansfield was steep and deep measuring a good eight and a half feet of snow. The snow pack along with a lot of rain made for record flooding on Lake Champlain in the spring. This year is looking different after a mild winter. Conservation Correspondent Bridget Butler heads to the top of Mount Mansfield to check out the snow stake and talks with Greg Hanson from the National Weather Service.
