The Chaconne is considered by many to be the greatest piece of music ever written. Its also considered on of the most difficult to play. But as you can see the genius of this piece is in the development.
I'm going to bring you through this piece little by little so, if your with me from Belgium or Spain or parts in between, stay tuned. #1 as usual, stay with Tarregas' left hand covering 4 frets ( or more) ( See the Tarrega method by Pujol) seriously I don't care who you see with their thumb over the neck, its the same as riding your bike with no hands , You can do it but do you want to be in a down hill race without steering? And yes I can play with my teeth but not while playing the Chaconne. (inserting dry humor)
#2 ALWAYS PUT DOWN BOTH FINGERS OF A SLUR WITH MORE WEIGHT ON THE NOTE YOU ARE PULLING OFF TO.
#3 memorize the chords, the development of this music is based on the opening chord structure. think of them as #1 chord #2 chord #3 chord etc if you don''t know the chord names ( #1 is d minor by the way) Remember you haVe A 6TH STRING TUNED TO D
that means the G on the 6th string is now on the 5th fret and the Bb is on the 8th fret. Alos remeber that you are in Bb or d minor ALL B'S ARE FLAT UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED
OK, that my lecturing NOW enjoy its not that tough if you are in position stay that way and you can enjoy the feeling of this awesome music peace, health and abundance "PLAY FOR YOURSELF FROM YOUR SOUL" You need a great teacher!
The most important teacher you'll have is YOUR FIRST TEACHER
Aaron Shearer ( the teacher of Manuel Barrueco) said the reason so many guitarists fail to reach their potential is error filled repetition, aka not knowing exactly how to do each movement!
A great teacher can watch how you play, isolate the problem, help you fix it and refocus on the beauty of the music.
I'll help you train your hands and make the classical guitar easier and seem effortless.
I've been performing and teaching the Classical guitar for 33 years now and I'm still madly in love with this great journey. After the tv shows the solo concerts, the recordings not to mention the research and the music schools I've attended, my greatest joy is seeing my students get better each week and playing the music they once thought was impossible
I teach the Classical Guitar, which is also known to some as Spanish Guitar lessons, Classic Guitar lessons etc. with loving encouragement.
No worries, My lessons are affordable! I will work with any budget if you are serious about the guitar. visit the James Hunley Guitar studio facebook page https://www.facebook.com/hunleyguitar... for more videos try s://www.youtube.com/user/chateauguitarworld
