After finishing these movies, I felt sad. Like I just finished a great adventure, and had to go back to the boring day-to-day with only memories of the excitement I just went through.

I don't suppose we'll ever see them again. We may yet Mr. Frodo, We may . I think this is my favorite track of all time. All time. Sadness, triumph, hope.  I AM IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTION

My favourite part of it all.... Pippin: I didn't think it would end this way. Gandalf: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it. Pippin: What? Gandalf? See what? Gandalf: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise. Pippin: Well, that isn't so bad. Gandalf: No. No, it isn't

While it's true these movies aren't perfect, and that they left out a ton of content from the books, they're still in my opinion the best movies ever made.  Once a year I read the LOTR, then watch the extended edition trilogy.  What the movies lack in lore and depth, they more than make up for in bringing the story to life, saying nothing of the music!  Oh my god the music!  Whether they like LOTR or not, I'll bet there aren't many people out there who could hear this music and not immediately say "That's from the Lord of the Rings!"

These movies have a therapeutical effect on me. Whenever i'm down, stressed, deppresed, etc i take a deep breath and realise it is nothing a LOTR marathon wont fix. No other film is as entrancing, as emotional as strong as these films. Truly a masterpiece.
