Put you mouth on mute Roberta and respect the Soldiers, sailors, Airmen, and Marines that have fought to give the right to comment on here. If a Soldier finds that this song reminds them of something or can relate to it then let them say as they wish. Yes i'm a Veteran of several conflicts and i love the song and at times the part about the suicidal Vietnam Vet makes me cry my eyes out but someone who has never served a day of their disrespectful life doesn't understand why. So let us feel what we may over this song and keep your opinions to yourself... Thanks

Also the homeless, hungry you are talking about are homeless vets so why dont you listen to the whole song and stop dissing those of us that were man enough to answer the call for you, me, our children grand children our neighbors our Brethren and yes even the ones we knew damn well would never appreciate a second of it

I miss my friend's in Vietnam. I was young and then I got a wake up call with my mom. We held hand's I was nine yrs. old and we had to visit a friend whom was shot down in Vietnam..... Oh how she cried so hard and my mom too. I  grew up and I believe in john Lennon. Give pace a chance. I grew up fast after that experience. I will never forget you Dewy....<3
