Uncle Steve Does Some Pole Fishing at Bond Lake In Cary, NC

Uncle Steve makes up his own fishing pole: 6-foot plastic garden stake
monofilament line equal to the length of the pole
a small shot weight
a swivel latch (to allow changing hooks)
either a #12 treble hook or a #6 panfish aberdeen hook
small non-weighed float (so you can see where the line is in the video)

The water depth is 1 to 4 inches (not more) right at the water's edge, especially favoring spots with flooded grass and weeds.

This video was inspired by FishingWithRod: Fishing with Rod: An evening pole session
