This animated movie entitled “What’s the role of nature? Scientists at the URBES project inspire sustainable urban planning for people and nature” shows the results of the ‘Urban Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services’ (URBES) research project funded by BiodivERsA.

It presents the key research findings of the project and gives a concrete outcome of BiodivERsA’s approach to promoting scientific excellence hand in hand with policy and societal relevance.

The Belgian Biodiversity Platform led the production of this video in the context of BiodivERsA, along with URBES researchers and the Belgian video production company, Squarefish.

This research was funded by the ERA-Net BiodivERsA, with the national funders FWF (Austria), BMBF/PT-DLR (Germany), NWO (the Netherlands), MINECO (Spain), Formas (Sweden), and SEPA (Sweden), part of the 2010-11 BiodivERsA call for research proposals.
