Good work although this particular era should be 15 hours long not 15 minutes. So much beautiful reggae around at this time.

Hello Silvan, I am looking for a very old song; I only know part of the lyrics, "Don't cry baby, baby don't cry, I am going away i'm coming back no more, say goodbye to mammy, say goodbye to daddy" . . etc... etc.. etc I really don't know the artist but please let me know it you have an idea about the title and artiste of that beautiful song. Sí, es verdad. Personalmente parezco las versiones originales mejor en la mayoría de los casos. Un ejemplo: la canción "Satisfy my soul" (del disco 'Kaya', grabado en Londres en 1977) no llega ni a la suela del zapato de la canción Original "Don't rock my boat" (1970-1971, de las sesiones con Lee Perry). Una excepción: "No sympathy" de Peter Tosh del disco "Legalize it" según mi humilde opinión es mejor que todas las versiones antiguas. 
En realidad prácticamente todos los artistas jamaiquinos han grabado y regrabado sus temas en diferentes épocas, de acuerdo las tendencias musicales de la época, ska, rocksteady, early reggae, etc: Justin Hines, Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Ethiopians, Ken Boothe, etc.
La en este video es de 1967. Alton Ellis ha grabado versiones reggae de su canciones de la época ska-rocksteady. Personalmente prefiero los originales.
Hay una version de 1977, pero no es la que aparece en este video
