Retaining the lag in an overhand sling throw using a David and Goliath sling. My uncle taught me this as a kid. It took me several days to learn to throw without getting slack in the cords which could lead to a bad accident. To me the motion is nearly the same as the tennis serve. You can really hurl a golf ball sized rock out there a long way with this mechanical advantage and good technique. Be careful this can be dangerous!
