Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO): Special interests masquerade as political parties in D.C. So, if we want to create jobs, foster innovation and economic growth, we should look at our issues as the future versus the past, not the right versus the left.

On June 27, the Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform at Brookings hosted the State of Biomedical Innovation Conference in Washington, DC, with a keynote address and discussion with Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO). Designed to bring together diverse stakeholders and senior thought leaders from across the biomedical enterprise, this event engaged participants in discussion on the health of biomedical innovation in the United States, obstacles to innovation, policy options for overcoming those obstacles, and key metrics that can be used to evaluate whether the U.S. biomedical enterprise is effectively delivering new and innovative medical products to the patients who need them.
