This video shows a lane detection, tracking and modeling approach that is able to model multiple lanes (ego-lane and lateral lanes), estimate their existence confidence, and other parameters, such as their curvature. The view distance of the lanes is also estimated according to the available lane marking measurements. Vehicle detection techniques can be used on top of this lane tracking method, in order to locate vehicles inside lanes and then provide a better estimation of the driving situation. The method has been implemented using C++ implementations of computer vision techniques, and it is included in the Viulib(R) SDK by Vicomtech-IK4. It works in real time and can be used in embedded devices because of its low computational complexity.
