A fun, new, tall tale for kids based on "The Lumberjack and the Eagle" by David Tank (Planert Creek Press 2012). Discover what happened when the lumberjack came to the land of big pines and how the trickster eagle stopped him from cutting down the last of the trees. This video matches the words in the book and works well in helping youngsters learn to read. Makes a great discussion starter about caring for our environment and natural resources. The inspiration for the story was a chainsaw carving by Justin Howland in a park in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Learn more at lumberjackandeagle dot com.
