Each summer, Pima County Public Library invites teens to make films that promote books and reading. This program encourages youth voices, creativity, participation in the arts, and literacy. Youth in Pima County received training and mentoring to create short films.
Through participation in workshops and peer mentoring, youth learned the ins and outs of filmmaking and each participant helped write, direct, and produce a short video.
Produced by Pima County Public Library in collaboration with Volunteer Center of Southern Arizona, Voices: community stories past and present, Pan Left Productions, echoPark Productions, and the University of Arizona School of Media Arts.
This video trailer was made in 2009 and was made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Pima County Public Library.
