ATTENTION: As of February 27th, 2012; I have disabled all comments for this video. I apologize to those with questions or good things to say, but I don't want to simply turn off my eMail feed (that's just asking for trolls). During the (short) time which I was pursuing marine adventures I found many answers and helpful fellows on RC Groups and RC Universe. If you're thinking of getting into this stuff, I suggest you head over there.

Well, I didn't expect I'd get this many views... so I'll give an update for those who still care, since I don't.

The lake this was shot at has since been half-drained due to new flood preparedness regulations, officially it's supposed to be fully drained within a few years.

I did get a new boat, and promptly turned it over in a high-water river (ruining the stock electronics & helmet camera installed at the time) I never did get any current readings, and I don't plan to get another one, riding the waves just isn't as thrilling as riding the wind... and at the rate I go through boats, it'd also be more expensive.
