Three days since the death of Kenya's world renowned athlete Samuel Kamau Wanjiru, Jane Nduta Wanjiru, the bar maid who was with him in his house when Wanjiru's wife Teresia Njeri confronted them, has decided to give her side of the story. Speaking to Citizen TV in Rumuruti, 22-year old Nduta said Wanjiru picked her from her workplace on Sunday night after assuring her that his wife was not in the house. She says she was stunned when after a short while in the house, Wanjiru's wife burst into the bedroom, a situation that led to a physical confrontation between her and Wanjiru's wife. And as Evelyn Wambui reports, Nduta insists that Wanjiru was not pushed but he fell from the balcony as he was trying to pursue his wife who had locked them in the bedroom and gone with the keys.
