Well, we got trains every day this weekend BUT N.T.D...
On Sunday we went to the Pardeeville area so my mom could visit some antique shops there. Thanks to the scanner and a prior heads up that No. 7 would have something extra on it, we grabbed three trains in the process.
Train #1 was CP 290 eastbound over the State Highway 22 bridge at Wyocena. I can't quite make out the number on the leading AC4400CW, but the trailing ES44AC is CP 8820.
Next is Amtrak #7 coming into Portage past a recently recrewed CP 281. Observation car MKT 403 plus the NSR "Super Dome" and "Cedar Rapids" from the 261 fleet are returning from Chicago's N.T.D. display.
Shortly after, 281 starts up. ES44AC CP 8845 leads Bandit MP15AC Soo Line 1546, ex-MILW GP40 CP 4611, and SD60 SOO 6040 with an unusual number stencil on the conductor's side. They said they had to set out an engine (one of the EMDs, not sure which) in the yard.
